Removable prostheses, as their name suggest, are easily removed and placed by the patient without the dentist’s intervention. They are placed directly on the gum or the teeth.
There are ways to replace lost or missing teeth by placing Acrylic Removable Prostheses (made only of Acrylic), Skeletal Removable Prostheses (Metal + Acrylic) or the last novelty in this area, which is the Flexible Removable Prostheses (manufactured in nylon).
They are the most ancient method used in teeth replacement. Although it isn’t the most efficient method, it is usually associated to a simple and lost costs execution.
